UMIDIGI One Max Review

UMIDIGI one series is a major hit due to its great features at affordable prices. One Max is said to be an incremental upgrade of UMIDIGI One Pro. So, let us see the major specs of this phone:

UMIDIGI One Max: Design and Appearance

The design is one of the things that has updated in One Max. One Max has the screen size of 6.3 inches compared to 5.86 inches of One Pro.

It has grown to the dimensions of 15.68 x 7.56 x 0.84 cm. Certainly bigger and broader than 14.84 x 7.14 x 0.83 cm of One Pro.

Also, One Max is a bit heavier too than One Pro.

One of the best features of this phone is the waterdrop notch. Rather than big notch like one pro had, one max has an elegant waterdrop notch and a front camera smaller in size.

Other than this, most other design features are similar to One Pro.

On the right side, there is Volume rocker and a fingerprint sensor on top of its power button. On the bottom, we have 3.5mm jack, noise cancellation mic, USB Type-C connector, and speakers.

There is a slot for 2 Nano SIM Cards or 1 Nano SIM with TF Card on the left side. TF Card supports the external memory up to 256 GB.

On the top, another noise cancellation microphone. On the back, there is a dual camera and a flashlight.

UMIDIGI One Max: Display

UMIDIGI One Max has capacitive HDdisplay in 6.3 inches screen and has the resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. The aspect ratio of 19:9 an astonishing 91.5% screen to body ratio is very impressive.

HD display is quite One Series typical. Though the display of colors is nice along with the promise from manufacturers that the phone will give high-end graphical experience due to its advanced In-Cell display and waterdrop full screen.

When it comes to keys, they are onscreen rather than capacitive. This spec has been opted by most companies to give more display space.

UMIDIGI One Max: Hardware and Performance

Like Umidigi One Pro it also runs on the Helio P23. For a phone such as UMIDIGI One Max, MediaTek processor P23 is a good processor. The Octa Core processor generates the 2.0GHz of clock speed and provides the power back performance.

Coming to its performance, the phone works very smoothly. Hardly there is any performance-based problem.

The Umidigi One Max has 4 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM. Apart from this TF Card will support external memory of 256GB.

In Antutu benchmark, all the one series phone of UMIDIGI scored well, including this one. Since the phone is newly launched, its exact score is yet to be updated.

To improve the gaming performance of the device it has the GPU unit as well. The ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU is set to enhance your gaming experience, another warrant by the company.

Helio P23 does not affect your gaming experience, games like Modern Combat and Asphalt are played easily in this phone with picture clarity and detailing a 720p phone should provide.

UMIDIGI One Max: Software

Android 8.1 Oreo running inside this phone works just fine. The software optimization One Max is good just like its predecessor One Pro. Apart from this, there is User Interface or UI for better usage of the phone.

There is no problem with working on multiple files at the same time or playing intensive games on the phone.

Most of the google apps are installed in this phone.

UMIDIGI One Max: Connectivity

This phone supports both 3G and 4G LTE network. Calling and receiving calls on One Max is without any problem even in large cities.

Coming to Wi-Fi, One Max supports a, b, g, n, n 5GHz, Dual band, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct standards.

One of the best features of this phone, and in connectivity is NFC. One Max supports functional NFC payment capability so that you could pay from your Android itself. At this price range, no other phone is supporting this feature which makes this phone excellent.

The GPS of this phone is pretty good. It supports GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou by default.

UMIDIGI One Max: Camera

The Camera of UMIDIGI One Max is same as One Pro. Just like Pro, it has the dual camera of 12.0 MP+ 5.0 MP at the rear and a front camera of 16.0 MP with LED Flash. The dual rear camera is able to capture the images at 2K and record the videos in 2K resolution.

The Camera features include Panorama, Real-time filters, and Face recognition.

When it comes to taking a picture, phone snaps pretty quickly with great focus and details.

The 16MP of the rear camera has the Face detection sensor to unlock your device. The rear camera has the night mode as well, but not a satisfying result you will get. For the daytime, it’s a good selfie camera.

UMIDIGI One Max: Battery

The battery is another spec of this phone that makes it worthy to buy. While One Pro’s battery life was average much like other phones, UMIDIGI One Max has high-density battery of 4150mAh.

Also, this phone has the feature of 15W wireless fast charge. Supporting QI inductive charging technology, all you need to do is to keep the phone on charging pad.

In addition, this phone has an 18W fast charge, which means your phone will be charged from 0 to 80% in just 1 hour 20 minutes.

UMIDIGI One Max: Conclusion

UMIDIGI is a company that is trying to be a mainstream mobile brand and the features they offer at really affordable prices is definitely worthy of acclamation.

UMIDIGI One Max 6.3-inch display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 91.5% screen to body ratio tends to give brilliant visual experience.

The 4150mAh battery is an improvement in this model. Since one pro had a battery capacity of 3250mAh and one has a battery capacity of 3550mAh. Due to the stronger battery, life and usage of the phone are prolonged.

Internal storage of 128GB is another wonder of this phone. No other phone in One series offered this much ROM, neither many phones of this price range.
